2008/9 BootsnAll New Years Eve Kilimanjaro Summit

Summit MistsThis year I will personally be leading a BootsnAll special New Years Eve Summit of Mount Kilimanjaro for which twelve places are available. If you have always wanted to stand on top of the world and watch the sun rise on the New Year then join me and I can personally guarantee this will be a year that you will never forget.

BootsnAll New Year ’09

In 2009 BootsnAll will be ten years old, and the first recorded summit of Kilimanjaro will be 120 years old. Both of these are events worth celebrating. Kilimanjaro has been an evergreen favorite at BootsnAll since the beginning and we hope over the next decade to grow our Kilimanjaro programme even more. This will be my first trip to Kilimanjaro as a member of the BootsnAll team, however my credentials as a mountain guide in the sub-equatorial region of Africa are long, and my experience as an African traveler equally varied and wide.

I was born in Kenya and since then I have lived and worked in the travel industry in a number of regional locations. As a veteran African guide I have gained a diversity of experience, and as a professional African mountaineer I have climbed and guided in ranges as far afield as the Rwenzoris and the Drakensberg. As an author my knowledge of the various ecologies, history, politics and sociology of Africa is also very deep.

This year, join me and help us celebrate these two millennial milestones. Call (503) 528 1005 or email me at BootsnAll and I would be happy to give you all the details and sign you up. We will be climbing via the beautiful and challenging Lemosho Route and will looking for an attuned and friendly party of well initiated hill walkers and climbers.
