Lesotho has one international airport: Moshoeshoe International Airport situated 18km outside the capital of Maseru.
As if to confirm the little country as a backwater, and even more it’s total dependence on South Africa, just one scheduled international flight arrives in the country, and this is a twice daily South African Airways connect from Johannesburg.
Internal flights are haphazard, but in certain instances the only alternative to walking to get to certain places within the highlands. The country has several small, local airports, airstrips and runways.
