The only functioning international airport in Eritrea is Asmara International Airport which offers only a handful of direct international connections. The most reliable of these is Lufthansa, which operates a thrice weekly connection from Frankfurt. Eritrean Airlines flies twice weekly to and from Dubai via Djibouti and once weekly to and from Rome and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Egypt Air offers a twice weekly service to and from Cairo, and Yemania Air likewise flies twice weekly from Sanaa in Yemen. Saudi Air also operates a twice weekly service for both Jeddah and Riyadh.
A very limited internal and domestic flight programme exists in Eritrea.
